Was sniping hard on Metro Rush attacking, since it's a triple ticket server we had lots of time and the enemy sent me hate mail:

"if you're wondering why your team is losing, it's snipers like you"

So I replied with something like:

"Your forces have cut us off from the high ground, we're throwing everything we have. My superiors tell me we need to take a series of M-COM stations here to neutralize your presence in the area, and I've been tasked with providing sniper cover for the storm troops. I appreciate your treasonous efforts to assist my side, please continue to grant me information."

we actually lost, and bad, too. We had four good players on our team and they... switched sides. We got stopped by a crazy team stack, by the end of the game I was the only general/whatever that rank is. Still did okay because their team wasn't THAT great, they just locked us down pretty good on the crate, I started going for it at 100 tickets and armed it three times but it was not gonna happen. They had us pushed to our spawn and were basically shooting fish in a barrel. I went like 50/30 ish, with 20 of those deaths being from the last 100 tickets trying to get the crates. Hopeless game.

Shout out to AoW_Lunatic for being a cunt who died 3 times on my team and then switched to the other team to go 40/x until I killed him three times in a row and teabagged him and he ragequit.

Went 23/0 the next game in a tank spawncamping the shit out of them, nailed the heli at their spawn the second they got in like 5 times, teabagged every time I killed one of the teamswitchers from the game before until they all left. Vengeanced.

I also don't even have all the recon guns unlocked, whereas I have service stars with all the other kits and like 3 or 4 with engi/assault. So.

I have 1 service star on Recon.

3+ on the others.

Most of my recon playtime now is using SKS or the new M417 and running front line with Assaults placing beacons as reset points and sensors/mavs.

I don't really touch the bolt actions much unless
a) it's WookieMode... cuz durr (and the L96 is still garbage... does 58 damage to 60 health at only 10-15m. JNG is trollolol tho). Even still I prefer Assault on HC for other obvious reasons
b) It's Rush (SOFLAM and sniper fire lanes are far more effective when combat is forced into 1 area).

I play neither all that much, and I'm still generally more apt to play other kits anyways.


Oh, and sometimes I just DGAF and I'll snipe when I get tired of trying to do all the work and my team does nothing.

Overall though, sniping is pretty fucking boring. Only reason I use recon mostly is flanking with a DMR

Sniping is limiting yourself. Best you can do is put a SOFLAM down and then hide. That's seriously the only thing snipers have going for them other than being a nuisance.
