Yeah I'm sold. I wasnt sure if I wanted this game but it sounds so immersive and open, the fact that you can go anywhere and do anything, sounds fuckin awesome.

speaking of hating: no reason to play rpgs. if i wanted to play an rpg i'd go full-out gay and play wow. so any rpg falls in the category of gay.

I got my Xbox 360 so I could play Oblivion (and I have all Oblivion achievements). I am looking forward to Skyrim. To me any other single-player experience seems quite bland by comparison.

First half hour or something of it got leaked yesterday, /v/ shat themselves with rage over how crummy it looked. Taken down by the time I got there though...

/v/ is full of shitheads, so I doubt it's as bad as they're saying it is, assuming it's bad in the first place.

Yeah, I'm increasingly learning to mistrust /v/ on a lot of things. They were flipping out yesterday about Origin...saying it was spyware and stealing your tax history.

Serious buzzkill. With the skill trees, how in the hell am I supposed to become a walking demigod who is proficient to every skill known to man (and furry)?

Lack of varying weapon and armor classes is also sounding quite disappointing (even though medium armor and spears were a joke,) it gives a very serious homogenizing effect on the game. Morrowind was definitely the pinnacle of diversity, which makes me a sad panda that they're straying away from that.


Of course, this is what I'm getting from some neckbeard on /v/ with a raging hardon to Daggerfall and Morrowind, so I'll stay optimistic in this case.

All that shit Alyss posted is true.... there are some plus sides though like being able to turn off the compass (supposedly) and there's some kind of in-game fast travel like the silt-striders from Morrowind, so you won't need to point to a spot on your map and warp there if you don't want too.

Oh and I'm pretty sure you'll have to visit any place once on foot before you can warp there (even the main cities)

The only thing I'm really worried about is the finishing moves... some of them apparently have a slow time effect... so it'll be like vats in Fallout; only this time you won't be able to control when it happens. I will be seriously pissed if finishing moves happen a lot.
