Sadly, those dates all but leave me out. :-( I leave for an interview this Saturday and return on the 27th, but I will be in a pretty big hole at work that I will need to dig myself out of. I will probably download it just out of principle, but probably won't get to play it much.

At least the real game will be here soon ....

Yah, I was kinda hoping they'd include Caspian CQ to showcase the large scale side of BF3....

but w/e, full release is only 35 days from now anyways

I get Gear3 tomorrow from Gamefly (They mailed it out yesterday) so between horde2.0 with my bro, Hoarderlands, and the beta, I'll be good2go until release.

There were some good Rush maps in BC2...wasn't generally my favourite, but I did have some awesome games on Port Valdez and Valpraiso.

Port Valdez...the amount of times I played that map in the BC2 beta...guess it will be the same with operation metro haha.

Got attacking and defending down to a science when I played with the usual crew of Zulu and a few others...we never lost....

Yah, Op Metro should be fun....

I kinda wanted to see how they changed the vehicles and crap, but I'll live with just the IFV...

I don't get it at all, the sense of entitlement the overall BF3 community has is mind boggling. YOU GET TO PLAY SOME OF THE GAME EARLY, FOR FREE!!!

EA should just kept it at closed testing and launched the game normally...WTF people

This sense of entitlement is more of a generational thing then just a BF3 fan thing....

Alot of the complaining is coming from retards who are whining just because, but there are a quite a few legit issues with the beta.

I cba to summarize it all, but norm360 makes some great points in it.

It's understandable.

They tell us, "Beta will be in September! And it might be a new map! Get excited!"

And then we find out it comes out on the penultimate day of September and it's the same infantry based, vehicle lacking map we saw in the Alpha.

It's not so much entitlement as it is disappointment. It's not like DICE is doing us a favor either with the beta, they're using it to test the game, gather data, and for publicity. So they win too.

Still looking forward to playing this, but I wouldve much rather preferred Caspian Border. I can imagine those who already played the shit out of the Alpha would be pissed at this.

If it's anything like BC2, the beta is gonna be the more fun then the actual game.
