| Lot of new info recently, some disappointing stuff.
Battery life of 3-5 hours, and that's for when youre not playing online. With Wi-Fi/3G on it's probably way less. You can buy an external battery pack that ramps the total up to 9-15 hours but no word on the price yet.
Also, there's virtually no internal storage. You're gonna need to buy one of Sony's memory cards, and they're not cheap: 4GB (2,200 yen, about $29), 8GB (3,200 yen, $42), 16GB (5,500 yen, $72), and 32GB (9,500 yen, $124)
They could be cheaper in the states, but I doubt it. Extremely gay considering you could get a 32GB SanDisk SD card for about $45. It also does not come with a memory card.
It's gonna be an expensive little piece of hardware to fully enjoy. Not sure if I'm getting it on release now or if I'll just wait for prices to drop. Considering they priced it at $250 to compete with the 3DS, and that costs $170 now, I dont think it'll take long for a price drop.

Be realistic...Sony handhelds fail...badly.They won't sell well for the first month after release and they wont sell well for many months after that. After Sony realizes it was a stupid move to release a handheld for $250, which is to say, after they see their competitions recent price drop, (Nintendo 3DS, released at $250, dropped to $170) Once they accept their mistake I assume they will try to undercut the competition. Selling their PoS for a loss, and eventually throwing in the towel.
And this is without mentioning the 3DS's marketing advantage, binocular parallax. AKA, their games are fucking 3D.

| Nah you dont. So you consider the PSP a failure? Funny considering it's sold about 70 million units, more than the PS3 and 360.
PSP Go was a failure from the start, just a shittier version of something that came out 5 years earlier.
Cant compare it to a brand new handheld with tons of new features and an amazing lineup of games right from release day. Yeah Ill buy it but Ill probably wait for the price to drop, if Sony sells it for a loss that's their problem. _________________ |
