| weird.....
wut else pro do?
Maybe I'll take a look into Pro... they change Tau or IG much? Those are my 2 main factions... though prolly tau more then IG due to IG's micro intensive crazy infantry... which you MUST use right if you want to win. Lots of full squad dancing rotating units in and out of fire, coupled with Commissar executions, and constant reinforcing, and then managing your command squad as either a massive psycker unit or Melee hold off (depending on enemy)
I love using a couple Bassies to just pound the fuck outta the enemy from safety with minimal interaction so I can focus more on infantry... only using a 1-2 Leman's up front for support.
My Tau strat usually consists of FW's loaded into Transports (instant deploy into weapon ready... no weapon set-up... plus transport has cloaking O_o) and then marching up 2 broadsides protecting with main force... and just let Broadsides blast them into oblivion... when they come after them, I use the rest of my units.... which might include Kroot or those other battlesuits again depending on enemy. _________________ |

| Let's see...
Tau get Pathfinders as their tier 1 scout, not stealthsuits, and have a lot of build order changes. You CAN have both the Mont'ka and Kan'yuon buildings, and the stuff is split between them a little better. They made changes to the squad leaders/drones deal with fire warriors and pathfinders, and some changes around the equipment of the tau commander (some of it is now done as war gear rather than equipped heavy weapons). Stealth is a lot more of a deal for tau, since they tend to have a lot of pathfinders which infiltrate either as a 30 sec activated ability or when they go into cover. Stealth suits are now the only units in the game with constant infiltration (though as usual it's removed by spotter units).
Imperial guard got a similar deal, with some build order changes and wargear additions. Mini-heores like the commisar are now built out of the infantry command, they get a new unit called the Inquisitor, and guardsmen can now form a firing line once you've got a regimental command (more damage, slower movement). They've also got a third resource called fire support, which is generated by guardsmen and is required to build vehicles and heavy weapons teams. |

| Nothing gets perma-stealth bar stealthsuits. Oh, and getchins, but of course they can't do much fighting. They revamped the whole stealth system: there's cover stealth, timer stealth, toggle stealth and perma-stealth. In addition to dedicated spotter units, commanders for each race spot stealthed units at 50% of their normal sight range (with certain bits of wargear increasing the range).
Culstists are timer and cover stealth units; chaos marines don't get stealth at all any more. |

| wut??
aw man, my chaos tactics are fucked haha
I loved using cultist and marine stealthed squads to fuck w/ the enemy. great harassment units.
Oh well, I'll check out this Pro... kinda burned out on vanilla Dark Crusade. might spark some life back into it. _________________ |

| I really recommend it. Certainly breathed a lot of life into it for me; the generally expanded nature of everything gives you a lot more to play around with. |

| Checked it out... Liking it so far.
Weird issue with AI... if you set up manual teams... the other comp just sat there. did.... nothing.
Works on FFA though
IG Manpower resource is kinda interesting.
The modifications to the races really makes you diversify more instead of trying to spam 1 cheap thing *cough*possessed+oblitz*cough* _________________ |

| Tomb Spyder + Pariahs would drop it. It's all about the counters.
The AI is hit and miss. I've had plenty of games where they're a big help, others like you say where they do fuck all. That was pretty much my experience before Pro as well though. |

| No, I mean it was definitely BUGGED.
The comp sat there and did NOTHING.
Only when I set the game options to manual teams, (instead of random or FFA) was this a problem. But it happened 3 times in a row. _________________ |

| Huh. Never happens to me. The AI can't use the Inquisition at all, they just sit there and do nothing when they play them...otherwise I don't get this. Send the dev team a message, they should be able to help: http://z15.invisionfree.com/DoWpro/index.php?act=idx |

| Really weird. I literally just got off a manual teams 2v2, me as the Inquision, ally as Spess Mahrens, enemy all Orks...no issues. I really need a new laptop though, framerate goes to shit in the big fights. |
