SC2 is more about proper micro/macro management. It has a lot more going on then you give it credit for Alyss.... and if you just played the demo, all you saw was Terran... Zerg and Toss are both quite different in how they play. They have similarities for balance sake but FFS so do all RTS games.

Fair enough, and like I said I'm sure it's a very well made and tactical game. Just not my cup of tea. I enjoy watching the commentaries.

1 of the biggest things is rotating hurt units to the back of the firing line to spread damage out across your units, while also using proper focus fire on the enemy.

They also made it awesomely easy to build units while managing a battle. You can assign all unit production buildings to a single group, then tab through the different types of buildings to create the different units you need. If you have more then 1 of any given unit structure, then it will automatically split the unit creation assignments evenly between them.

Expansion bases is another major part of SC strategy. You need to expand fast enough and far enough to increase your resource farming while being able to also protect against harassment.

It's simple in many ways though as well, which is part of it's charm. Easy to learn, tough to master.

CoH is an awesome RTS though... Relic games in general.... I kinda like the DoW series which uses a lot of CoH's mechanics, and has more variety between factions

Yeah, DoW was pretty cool. I like CoH more...taking cover, cracking open buildings with mortars, getting snipers behind the lines to provide line of sight to artillery...they really did everything in that game right.

not as much variety though...

really, hardly any TBH other then the commander abilities...

which is something you fault SC for, even though the differences in Race on SC are far greater then that of CoH.

and is it just me or do siege tanks have a shitton less range then the first one?
